Mighty Beavers Extend
League Lead to 5 Games

The two clubs already have

They maintained their mastery
over the basement-dwellers yes
terday by annexing both ends of
a doubleheadcr before 10,000 dis
appointed Hollywood fans, 7-6,
and 10-0. This gave Portland the
series, six games to one.
The Oakland Acorns climbed
into second place by downing
the Seattle Kalniers twice, 12-2
and 6-1, before an overflow au
dience of 11,000 at Oakland. The
