boy, Is being held in Medford
today charged with imperson
ating a soldier. According to
Camp White public relations
officer, Carter had been visiting
his grandparents and uncle in
Canyonville, south of Roseburg.
The uncle, a veteran of overseas
service, was there on furlough.

to Capt. Leopold E. Fritze,
Camp White provost marshal.
Without Painful Backache
Many sufferers relieve nagging backache
quickly, once they diacover that the real
cause of their trouble may be tired kidneys.
The kidneys are Nature a chief way of tak
ing the excess acida and waste out of the
blood. They help most people pass about a
pints a day.
When disorder of kidney function permit
poisonous matter to remain in your blood, it
may cause nagging backache, rheumatic pains,
leg pains, loss of pep and energy, getting up
nights, swelling, pufHncss under the eyes,
lieadachcs and dustiness. Frequent or scanty
passages with smarting and burning some
times shows there is something wrong with
your kidneys or bladder.
Don't wait! Ask your druggist for Dose's
Pills, used successfully by millions for orer
40 years. They give happy relief and will help
the 15 miles of kidney tubes flush out poison
ous waste from your blood. Get Don a V ills.

The youth arrived In Medford
the night of April 24 and went
to the USO where he got
something to eat, later going to
a hotel, his story said.
Wore No Tie
At the hotel he was seen by
two army officers, one of whom
was a recent graduate of a pro
vost marshal's school and is par
ticularly observant of uniforms.
He noticed young Carter wore
no necktie and questioned him.
Carter said his personal belong
ings, including his identifica
tion tags, had been stolen. The
officers were suspicious and
called a military policeman who
grilled Carter. The youth told
them he had been shell-shocked
in Corsica. A search of his per
son revealed four cents in cash
and three checks made out to
himself, He explained the
checks because he might need
some money.
Rushed To Hospital
He told the questioning ser
geant he had a bad pain in his
head and he was rushed to a
hospital. Military police called
Capt. Fritz who questioned the
boy. After considerable ques
tioning, he told his story to
Capt. Fritze, who said he would
be turned over to juvenile au
thorities. .
State police said today young
Carter is a parole violator from
Roseburg and is wanted by ju
venile authorities there. The
state police, sheriff's office and
the provost marshal are inves
tigating possible bad checks by
the youth.

amount the congregation would
raise during 1945. The congre
gation accepted the challenge
by resolving to introduce a spe
cial building fund drive for the
year. Last year the congrega
tion successfully conducted a
debt liquidation campaign and,
being debt free, can turn to the
next necessary venture, a new
church building.
Ten new members were ad

meeting Sunday. Those admitted
were Miss Dorothy Kraft, Mrs.
Gretchen Meacham, Mr, and
Mrs. M, E. fMorse and two
daughters, and Mr. and Mrs.

congregation give financial sup

history in Medford schools,
sponsored by the Medford Min

The good fellowship dinner
given by the ladies Sunday noon
was well attended and netted
a nice profit for the choir's mu
