Correction Members of the Royal Neighbor pageant cast will meet Thursday at the home of Mrs. Elsa Walker, 129 North Oakdale avenue, instead of Fri day as was stated in Sunday's issue. The meeting is set for 7:30 p. m. Leaves For Camp Sgt. L. S. Daniel left Friday to report back to Camp Folk, La., after visiting his wife, Georgia, and son, at the home of Mrs. Dan iel's uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. W. I. Sutherland, 1604 West Main street. Herman, 631 West Jackson street, left last night to report to the air base at Lincoln, Neb., after spending a 10-day leave with his parents. Lt. Herman recently finished training with the air corps at Liberal, Kan. Palmers Leave Mr. and Mrs. B. J. Palmer, 315 South Orange street, left today for Oceanside, Calif., where they will take up residence for the time being. The Palmers have three daughters residing in Oceanside, Mrs. C. H. Wanda Marlatt, Women's Army Corps, daughter of Mrs. Edith Marlatt of Jacksonville, is home on 15-day furlough from the Air Transport Command Installa tion at Berkeley, Calif., where she works as assistant to the supply sergeant. Pvt. Marlatt enlisted In the WAC in Septem ber 1944. To Plan Luncheon Plans for the annual May fellowship luncheon of the Medford Coun cil of Church Women will be made at two meetings scheduled for Wednesday at the Presby terian church. At 1 o'clock the education committee of the council, of which Mrs. Bert R. Elliott Is chairman, will meet to perfect program plans for the luncheon, which is to be May 4. At 2:30 p. m. four women from each church of the city will meet, also at the Presbyterian church. Two from each churcn are to serve as hostesses and two will be members of the luncheon serving committee. JURY TO RECONSIDER MURDER INDICTMENT The grana jury, Victor Bur- seu, Le.ural Point foreman, will convene Thursday for reconsid eration of the second degree murder indictment previously returned against Fred A. Wolf for the alleged slaying of Percy H. Ijames last February, during a sidewalk altercation at Gold Hill. Circuit Judge Herbert K. Han. na last week granted the demurrer of the defense to the indictment, on the grounds it failed to specifically describe the death weapon, listed in the origi nal true bill as "a sharp instru ment." The court directed re covenlng of the grand jury to iron out the legal technicality The defense Is- represented by Attorney Don R. Newbury. Wolf nas been In the county jail since his arrest following the tragedy. OBITUARY ZERA GRISHAM Zena Antionette Grisham of Medford, passed away at a local hospital, April 17. She was born at Waterbury, Conn., Dec. 8. 1869 and moved to Hamilton County, Nebraska in 1871 where her father, Benjamin Abbott, was one of the early homestead ers, later establishing the Alvin postoffice. The little country Alvin church was built and named for her grandfather the Rev. Alvin Abbott. She was married to David M. Grisham, September 8, 1887, moving to Jackson County, in 1900 where they have lived ex cept for a few years in the Wil lamette Valley. She was a devoted christian and a faithful worker in the church from early childhood Besides her husband, she leaves to mourn three daughter1;, Pearl Nichols, Central Point; Estella Heft and Lola Thompson of Medford, and one son, Nathan D. Grisham, Central Point; also five grandchildren, Evelyn Bing ham, LaRene Thompson, RM2'c Robert N. Grisham. Phylles Grisham and Mary Grisham, and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p. m., at the Perl Funeral Home. Interment will be in Central Point cemetery.
