April of 1943, Cpl. Lester Hittfe
pole has been wounded three
times while serving in three dif
ferent countries.
Cpl. Hittlepole, a member of
the paratroopers, was last re
ported wounded Feb. 17 in
France.
On Sept. 20, 1944, he was
wounded while serving in Hol
land. Previously he received an
ankle injury while fighting in
the Italian campaign.
