LOCAL and Council Meeting Council members will hold a routine meeting tonight at the city hall Merchant M a f ! n Horn Francis t)roley, son of Mr. and Mrs. D. D. Cancel Meeting April meet ing of the Medford Garden club planned for this week has been canceled duo to the celebration being held for Medford war heroes that afternoon. How ever, members of the club are asked to meet at the Girls Com munity club at 1:45 p. m., to at tend the celebration in a body. Chamber to Meet Junior Chamber of Commerce will hold a dinner meeting tonight at the Holland Hotel at 6:30 p. m. in stead of' the usual meeting at the Chamber of Commerce build ing, it was announced today. The program will feature plans for the organization's participation In the national used clothing drive. To Erect Shop A building permit was issued March 31 from the office of the city super intendent to T. Dike, 1246 South Eiverside avenue, to erect a lad der and carpenter shop at an approximate cost of $750. An other permit was issued yester day to L. S. Brophy, 305 North Grape street, to repair a build ing for $375. Family Leaves Mr. and Mrs. I. J. Stelle and daughter, Karen, left today for San Francisco af ter making a visit here with Mr. Stelle's parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Stelle and his brother and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Stelle, Korth Bartlett street. They also were guests of Mrs. Stelle's par ents, Mr. and Mrs. G. S.
