Bon Dies Larry Rae Stoll
one of the twin sons born last

passed away last Sunday noon

In Italy Pfc. Dallis H. Zim
merlee is in Italy with the 361st
Infantry regiment according to
a news release from the Fifth
Army headquarters. The 381st is
part of the 01 "Powder River"
division, currently In the Florence-Bologna
drive. The regi
ment landed In Italy last May
31, the news release states and
was one of the units that took
the Albano Hills and Lake Al
bano, making possiblo the fall of
Rome. Pfc. Zimmerlee Is a can
noneer with the regiment.

Thurston, yeoman first class in
the navy, who has been sta
tioned in the naval research
laboratory, Washington, D. C.
has returned to that city after
completing a mission which took
him to the combat regions of the
Pacific by plane. Thurston left
Washington the last of Novem
ber. On his return trip he stop
ped in Hawaii and visited his
brother, Jim, aviation machin
ists' mate first class. The men
had not seen each other for near
ly three years. They are sons of
Mr. and Mrs. Phil Thurston of

Rogue River Woman
Passes in Portland
Grants Pass, Dee. 27 Minnie
Maude Snow, 75, Rogue River,
died in Portland December 24.
She was born in Wichita, Kan.,
on August 4, 1871.
Mrs. Snow is survived by two
daughters, Mrs. Elmer Milton, of
Rogue River, and Mrs. L. B.
Smith of Vancouver, Wash
three sons, W. A. Snow of Port
land. Walter M. Snow of Van
couver, and H. F. Snow of Lo-
ean. Mont.: a brother, w. m
