' Jones Home Pfc. Douglas E. Jones, 21, of Medford is home on furlough after 14 months in the Pacific. He last saw action on Guam. Jones enlisted in the marine corps in May, 1943. His wife, Mrs. Jean Jones, makes ber home at 420 Boardman St. Visiting Here Mrs. Silas King and daughter, Mary Anne, of Portland, arrived in Medford last week and are visiting at the home of Mrs. King's parents. Mr. and Mrs. George Fisk, route 1, while Mr. King is in St. Louis on business. Mr; King will ar rive here later this week and the family will spend the holidays visiting Mr. and Mrs. Fisk, and Mr. King's parents, Mr. and Mrs. George W, King of Phoenix. In Kansas Aviation Cadet Dale E. Erickson, son of Mrs. Nora D. Vernon, 716 Oak St, Is enrolled in the class of cadets currently taking basic flight in struction at the army air field at Independence, Kan., accord ing to an announcement from the field. Erickson has success fully completed pre-flight and primary phases of the aviation cadet training program, and after a few weeks at Indepen dence will go to an advanced training school. . All other taxes yielded about $7,500,000,000, almost equaling the 1941 total federal receipts. In fiscal 1943 corporation in come and excess profits yielded almost one-third more than indi vidual income taxes, but rate changes and economic factors combined to move the 1944 indi vidual Income-tax revenues far ahead of - corporation and excess profits taxes.
