' Bracelet X,ot -A1 souvenir bracelet sent to Mrs. Leona Roberts, 539 Effie street, from her son, Pvt. Chester L. Roberts, . somewhere in New-Guinea, was recently lost on the streets of Medford. Mrs. . Roberts will have her ton send another sou venir from New Guinea to any one returning the bracelet. Pvt.: Roberts has been transferred to an ordnance company, according to a letter received by his moth er. He writes that he has just had his first drink of colt water since coming overseas in June. His wife resides at 815 Bessie street. Fires Two fire engines were called " to Timber Products, North Central avenue, at 3:45 this moraing to extinguish a blaxe started by sparks from burner In the saw-filing room, according to the fire department today. The blaze was put out at 3:30 a. m. Minor damages were done, the fire department said. Monday night the chemical wag on was called to 412 North Grape sijreet, residence of D. Cawslmelll, to extinguish a blaze started by an oil stove, ac cording' to a second report from the fire department. This report also said little damage was dona. Sons In Service Gunner's Mate Ve Earl Minger, son of Mr, and Mrs. Ray Minger, 2117 Capital avenue, left recently for the east coast to report at a navy yard after visiting his parents in Medford. He plans to visit 'friends and relatives in Iowa and Missouri en route. Gunner's Mate Minger served In the Pa cific for the past four yearr, Clarence Minger, another son of Mr. and Mrs. Minger, Is chief pharmacist mate on a ship in the Pacific. Alton Minger, a third son, is on a merchant ship in the Pacific and Staff Sgt. Clyde Minger, a fourth son, is with the army air corps in Italy. Miss Irene Minger, daughter of.
