changed a plea of not guilty to
guilty on a charge of possession
of narcotics as his trial opened

Tocco faces a possible maxi
mum sentence of 10 years in
the penitentiary and a $10,000
fine. Federal agents who arrest
ed him on a train in Chicago
said he had 700 ounces of nar
cotics valued at $300,000 in his
possession.
Federal Judge Louis E. Good
man denied a motion to allow
Tocco to remain free on $25,000
bail and ordered him held for
sentencing Saturday.
