Loren Demming made application, Tuesday, for a per mit to build a cottage and ga rage at 310 South Riverside at an estimated cost of $3000. On Guadalcanal Russell M. Brown, formerly a forestry foreman working with the CCC on the Rogue river national for est service, is now a technical sergeant with an engineer com pany on Guadalcanal, according to a news dispatch from-there. Sgt. Brown entered the army in September of 1943, and has been overseas since June of 1944.
