Kirkpatrick of 713 East Jackson street, Medford, has ar rived to England to serve the armed forces as an American Red Cross civilian war relief worker. Kirkpatrick was city recreational director of Modes to, Cal., before his Red Cross appointment. He is a graduate of Medford high school and Drake university in Iowa. On Leave Leslie H. Snyder, seaman 2c, and son of Mrs. Min nie Snyder, 508 Haven street, is ' spending a 25-day leave visiting his mother and sister, Mrs. J. L, Sullivan. Seaman Snyder has Just completed 28 months of ac tive duty with the navy in the South Pacific, where he partici pated in six major operations. Snyder enlisted August, 1842, and took his boot training a.1 Great Lakes Naval Training sta tion in Chicago. His brother, Pfc. Donald Snyder, is serving with a tank batallion In France. Walker, 1120 Red dy avenue, has been informed from national headquarters of the Military Order of the Purple Heart that he has been appoint ed national assistant chief of staff. , Floyd K. Dover, Grants Pass, has been appointed aide de camp by National Commander Hamilton. Mr. Dover served as commander of Rogue Valley chapter No. 147 last year.
