One of Oar Advertisements Appearing Now in Many National Magazines OR MANY years we at American Fruit' Growers have been shipping our gift packages of fruit and Yuletide Clusters to people in all parts of the coun try. We started -several years ago in a small, mod- - est way the few hundred boxes that first year were packed , and shipped after hours by our office girls who wanted a lit tle extra cash for Christmas. It wasn't long before the reputation created by fine qual ity and craftsmanship of our gift packages, extended into thousands of cities, towns and hamlets throughout America. This year, our national advertising campaign is producing an avalanche of orders which necessitates our packing and shipping many thousands more packages than we originally intended. Therefore, in order for us to live up to our role of Santa Claus, we must augment our already large production depart ment, now totaling hundreds, with an additional 250 new em ployees for packing Baskets and Boxes. We also need 60 ad ditional typists, order checkers, filers and bookkeepers for our office. " A Profitable Craft Basket and Gift Box packing is an art like decorating or flower arrangement, and with our gift package business growing so fast, those learning now will always find a job open to them in the post war years. 250 More Ladies Needed Now 'All of our packing is part or full time work, whichever you ruay choose. New training classes are formed each day to teach you to become an expert in packing big, beautiful baskets of du Cornice and D'Anjou Pears, and other fruits along with gift boxes of pears and our Yuletide Cluster en sembles. .You are paid by the piece, so at you become more proficient your compensation will increase rapidly;' And we mention again that your pay starts immediately as soon as you are accepted as a class member, so you are paid while learning. Ideal Working Conditions Rest periods regularly. Lunch room with free coffee. Trained nurse and com plete hospital room. In new, well lighted, heated, and ventilated building, located on Fir Street, just off Main, you will, we are sure, enjoy this pleasant work.
