The governor said the landing adds to the state's outstanding military record. The 41st division, containing the Oregon National Guard, was the first division to have been shipped overseas, having arriv cd in Australia a few weeks af ter Pearl Harbor. Dispatches have not mentioned the 41st In connection with the Philippines operation. The 91st division which train ed nt Camp White before the 96th, is in active service in the European theater.
