Examinations A traveling examiner of operators and chauffeurs will be in Medford Friday and Saturday at the K. of P. hall from 9 a. m. until 5 p. m. All wishing permits or licenses to drive cars are asked to get in touch with the exami ner during these hours accord ing to a release from the secre tary of state's office. Homecoming Adarel chap ter No. 3, O. E. S. will hold homecoming night tomorrow as part of the regular chapter meeting at the Masonic hall in Jacksonville. A covered dish dinner will be served at 6:30 o'clock to be followed by the meeting and program. All mem bers of the chapter are urged to "come home" and join in the chapter celebration. P.-T. A. Activities Group singing and a magazine review will feature the meeting of the Jackson Parent-Teacher association scheduled for Octo ber 20 at 3 p. m. in the music room of the school. Mrs. Delia Webber will lead the group sing ing and Mrs. Ivah Murray will give the magazine review. A brief business meeting will be conducted by Mrs. Lloyd Smylie and at the close of the afternoon tea will be served by the officers and committee chair men. All parents are invited to attend and a special invitation is extended to newcomers in the district. Oak Grove P.-T.A. will meet Friday in the intermediate room at 3 p. m. to hear Mrs. Gertrude Hamblin speak on "Girl Scouts and Scouting Committees." A skit is to be presented by stu dents of the third and fourth grade. Membership week will also be stressed. Mrs. Genevieve Dick, mem ber of the league residing in Rogue River, was program chairman for the day and intro duced Mrs. Carpenter.
