Ring, Jr., recently returned to this country after two years of service in the South Pacific with the United States Marine corps, was honored at a dinner shortly after his return, the affair being given by Mr. and Mrs. John Walch, Sr., at their home on Butte Creek. En route home Mrs. Treece spent several days in Portland visiting with her husband's parents. Miss Ann Luman became the bride of Gordon Corum at a ceremony at the First Baptist cnurcn in Medford Sunday, Sep tember 24. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs Charles Luman, 624 North Cen tral avenue, and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Rov Corum of Eugene. The Rev. Wolford A. Dawes read the ceremony before an altar banked with white gladioli and palms. Appropriate organ music was played by Miss Dor- omy wi aer. Miss Luman was attended by her sister, Mrs. Gerald Saunders of Eugene, the former Marguer ite Luman, and Mr. Saunders was best man for Mr. Corum. The bride wore a cactus green wool crone suit with hrnwn nr. cessories. Her corsage was a spray of orchids. Mrs. Saunders was attired in a gold crepe suit with black accessories and wore a gardenia corsage. The brido's mother wore a brown and green ensemble while the groom's mother wore a brown velvet suit with turquoise blue trim. Both wore corsages of gardenias. The reception following the ceremony was held at the Hotel Holland. Centerpiece for the bride's table was a four-tiered wedding cake topped with the traditional bride and Broom fie. urines and encircled with whit. roses. The cake was first put h the bride and groom after which miss Detty Brown comnleted the serving. Mrs. Lloyd Franks pre- siuea at the punch bowl. Following the reception Mr. and Mrs. Corum left for a trip along the Oregon coast. They will be at home at a residence on Norkenzie Drive, Eugene.
