The slogan for this cam paign representing the Church of the Nazarene is "Evangelical in Faith. Evangelical in Pur pose. Missionary in Spirit. Friendly in Attitude. Community-wide In Interest, World-wide In Vision and Informal In its Services". Statistics recently given out by the demonstration show an increase in membership of 183 per cent from 1926 to 1942, the largest increase in the United States denominations having 50,000 members or over. Church of the Nazarene membership at present Is approximately 200, 000. In 1943 they raised the sum of $10,000,000 for all pur poses representing the largest per capita giving among twenty American denominations affili ated with the United Steward ship Council for 1943. This is slightly over $54 per capita. The Church of the Nazarene set for its coal the rnlsintr nf n million dollars for foreign mis sions and the sending out nf forty missionaries during 1944. The Medford Church of the Nazarene Is uniting with other churches of the city in a great rally day Sunday. At 9:45 a. m. the Sunday school department is sponsoring a program. At 10:45 a. m. the Rev. Fred M. Weatherford, pastor, speaks on 'The Church and Religious Free dom". At 7:30 p. m. his topic Is, 'The Justice of God". The beginners' department will present three numbers and Youth Meetings Start Sunday At Christian Church The new fall and winter series of youth meetings will begin at the First Christian church this Sunday night at 6 o'clock. A recreation period will be follow ed by a study session. The co-chairman of the recrea tion committee revealed that everything is ready for the op ening session Sunday night. The study group disclosed that dis cussions for the first two months will be in two sections, an eval uation of the radio and its pro grams, and the purpose and use of the Bible. Present for the planning meet ing at the church Wednesday night were, Arlene Troxell, pres ident; Dick Hake, treasurer; Carl Winklebleck, study committee chairman; Ann Bohnert and Glenn Yost, recreation commit tee chairman, and Vera Smith', vice president.
