DISABLED VETS PICK MEMBER DF F Denver, Sept. 18 U.R) The 23rd national convention of Dis abled American Veterans "was concluded Friday with the elec tion of Milton D. Cohn, Buffalo. N. Y as national commander, succeeding James L. Monnahan of St. Paul, Minn. Cohn, a member of the "Fight ing 69th" in the first World War, is in charge of the veterans di vision of the Erie County, New York, department of welfare. Other national officers chosen at the closing session were the following vice commanders, in order: John E. Rainey, Pitts burgh, Pa.; Paul C. Corrigan, Al buquerque, N. M.J Eugene G. Soots, Pueblo, Colo.; W. F. Soud er, Knoxvjlle, Tenn.; Peter Grif fin, St. Louis, Mo.; and the Rev. Manford Bennett, Los Angeles, Calif., was chosen chaplain. Auxiliary Reelects The DAV auxiliary reelected Mrs. Maudle Sargent of Kansas City, Mo., national commander. FINED IN ASHLAND Ashland, Sept. 16 Mrs. Evan geline May Scoles, 24, of 716 North Riverside, Medford, was fined $10, costs of $2.50, and given a 10-day suspended jail sentence in city court yesterday.
