Lester C. Cass arrived in Med ford yesterday after spending 32 months serving with the army ai corps ground forces in the China-Burma-India theater of operations. Sgt. INVESTIGATE CRASHES Tonopah, Nev., Aug. 21 (U,R An army investigation was under way today into crashes of two Liberator bombers within an hour which killed 18 men Satur day. Both crashes occurred with in 20 miles southeast of the Tonopah air field. The first was at 8 a. m. four miles southeast of the base. Crews of both bomb ers were killed Instantly.
