"How can I get to use my false
teeth? they make me more
nervous every day." She says,
too, that when she failed to im
prove after the ruthless extrac
tion of all her teeth, she had a
"good physical.
Maybe my teeth are more
valuable than other people's
teeth, but I'd want not only a
good physical or two but plenty
of other special tests and opin
ions (Including, of course, the
opinions of competent dentists)
before I'd submit to extraction
of one or more of my teeth in
any circumstance. I think that
any physician who, orders or
permits extraction of all the
teeth regardless of the possibil
ity that proper treatment by the
dentist might save one or more
of the teeth, is a sorry repre
sentative of the medical profes
sion. And furthermore I think
that any physician who dis
misses a patient with the sug
gestion that the trouble Is "just
a case of nervous exhaustion"
and the advice to "go home and
fight it yourself" is incompe
tent and unfit.
This unhappy young lady, I
assume had some decayed
teeth, perhaps infected teeth,
and the doctor deemed It wise
to remove all the teeth at once.
Any one who goes for months
or years with one or more de
cayed or infected teeth or with
one or more teeth missing, must
Inevitably suffer at least some
impairment of digestion in con
sequence of Insufficient chew-

tional farm chemurgy meeting
held in March at St. Louis. He
told of new and lethal insecti
cides; fibre similar to wool thai
