Fines Meted City Police Judge Ralph Woodford meted fines of $1 each to James E. Bishop, Ray Edwards and Ed Coy this week for allowing their dogs to run at large on a public street. Truck Stolen J. P. Camp- bell Lumber Company of Can i yonville. Ore., reported to city police that a 1941 Chevrolet truck lumber rolls was stolen sometime Tuesday night or Wednesday from the lumber yard. License number is T3-407 Minor Accidents A 1942 White truck owned by Charles A. Skeeters of Prospect and op erated by Walter J. Carr of Rt. 1, box 530 and a '41 Chevrolet car driven by Roy A. Dorf were involved in a minor accident about 3 p. m.. Monday, two miles northeast of Rogue Elk lodge on the Crater Lake high way, a report on file today states. West Sixth street was the scene of a minor collision Thursday at 2:30 p. m. between machines driven by E. L. Hitt of Rt. 2, box 18 IF and Mrs. Mabel Herndon of Rt. 4, box 67. Craduatea Allen L. Bowser, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Bow ser of 7 Glen Oak Court, is be ing congratulated upon his graduation fro"m San Rafael Military academy in California this week. The exercises cli maxed a busy senior week which Included the senior ban quet and ball. Professor Ray mond Garfield Gettell, profes sor of political science at the University of California, his torian and economist, gave the commencement a d d r e s s, his subject being "This Changing World." ' Bicycle Stolen Kenneth Tolle of Rt. 1, box 503, reported to city police this morning that his Hawthorne bicycle was stolen out of the family garage during the night. The 1943 Medford bicycle license on the wheel was number 306, and frame number is F9952. Marvin Here Cpl. Maxwell S. Marvin is spending an 18-day furlough with, his wife, who re sides at 936 South Riverside avenue, and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Davis of Phoe nix. Cpl. Marvin is a cadreman with the 61st Infantry Training battalion stationed at Camp Wolters, Tex. Mrs. Marvin will accompany her husband when he returns to Texas. Janitors' Meeting Meeting in Medford today and tomor row are members of the South ern Oregon Janitors' Confer ence and Oregon State Janitors' Association. Allen T. Osborn of Eugene, president of the state association and M. F. Drake, Grants Pass, president of the southern Oregon conference, are in charge of the sessions be ing held in the junior high school building. Draftees To Meet Men who are being inducted into the army soon are reminded of the meeting this evening at 7:30 o'clock in the armory for in ductees and their families. The meeting is planned to provide the men and their families with information which will be use ful in making the change from civilian to military life. A num ber of speakers, representing the army, navy, Red Cross, bar association and other agencies will be heard and a question period will be conducted. CHURCH OF GOD SCHOOL HAS LARGE ATTENDANCE The daily vacation Bible school being conducted at the Church of God, located at Haven and Hol ly streets, is being carried on successfully according to reports of church leaders. Enrollment is said to be satisfactory, and the daily attendance nearly 100 per cent.
