Hen drlckson was driving a Pacific Greyhound lines bus south on the highway and attempted to pass the 1941 Dodge sedan driven by Anderson and gravel ing in the same direction when the Anderson automobile swer ved toward the center of the road. The accident occurred one mile north of Sutherlin, in Doug las county. BUT NOT ENOUGH Washington, Dec. 23 (IMS The Agricultural department re ported today that hog produc tion after reaching an all-time peak this year will decline by approximately 18 per cent next spring, four per cent less than the reduction requested by the War Food Administration. The tendency to reduce hog numbers began last fall when farmers Increased pig numbers by only 12 per cent over the fall of 1842, after having reported last June that they planned a 25 per cent increase in the fall. Farmers last fall saved 47,831, 000 pigs, 10 per cent more than in 1942, the previous record, and 72 per cent more than the 1932- 41 average. The Agricultural department said reports from farmers showed that the number of hogs six months or more old on De cember 1 was greatly in excess of the number on that date in any previous year.
