Thursday in the Junior High school auditorium. The. music and English departments have prepared a story of Christmas customs around the world and will illustrate the manner of ob servance of Christmas in other lands, both in song and panto mime. Those who have planned and will give the stories of the va rious nations are Peggy Bray, Nick Greene, Margery Ham mond, Jerry Igo, Susan Inskeep, Corinne LaTourette, Virginia Long, Joan McDuffee, Bill Mof fat, Walter Nichols, Marilyn . Nickle, Joan Pomeroy, Elaine L Sherwood, Evalyn Watkins, Bob r Chamberlain, Charles White, Bet ty Robinson, Beverly Daily, Doris Imhausen, Jack Coffeen, Monty Hall, Raymond Johnson, Bill Canon, Patricia Reeder, Leona Dixon. . The mixed chorus, the choir and the girls' glee club will sing a varied program of Christmas music. Vera Smith, Floyd Jones, Jer ry Lausman and Treve Neff will be the soloists.. Marilyn Nickle, Vera Smith and Harriet Walker are the accompanists. Verne Shangle, Jr., is in charge of the lights. The general public is cordially invited. (U.R) The German news paper Bodensee Rundschau, re viewing German war losses, to day described Konstanz as "char acteristic in scope and said ihe German garrison city listed more than 10 per cent of its 34,000 in habitants as war, dead up to the middle of December. At least 3,794 inhabitants have been killed, the newspaper said, as compared with 3,088 during the first world war. Major Nettie Brown stated this morning that due to the influenza epidemic, and a consequent shortage of workers,- only a few kettles were on the streets and she urged the army's friends not to overlook this Christmas offering.
