OBITUARY
W. I. BEARDSLEY
William Jefferson Beardsley,
84, resident of Jackson county
for over BO years, passed away
at a local convalescent home
Saturday. He was bom In Free
born county, Minnesota, Feb. 10,
1838.
At one time he operated a gen
eral store In Phoenix, Oregon,
and for the past few years had
been farming at Rogue River.
He leaves one adopted daugh
ter, Mrs, Mae Verdianl, of
Marshf leld; three step-daughters,
Mrs. Joe 'Nash, Medford; Mrs
Lena Martin, Prlnevllle, and
Mrs. Nettle RIffenherger, Corn
ing, Cal.; also a step-son, Ray
Crump, of Klamath Falls.
Funeral services will be con
ducted from the Perl Funeral
Home Wednesday at 2 p. m., El
der O. A. Thompson of the Seventh-Day
Adventlst church offi
ciating. Interment will be In
Phoenix cemetery.

Walter E. Miller, a resident of
Gold Hill fo the past six months,
making his home with his
daughter, Mrs. Thelma M. Bell,
pawed away there Monday.
He was born at Empire, Nev.,
April 17, 1888. His home is In
Placervlle, Cal.
Remafns will be transferred to
Placervllle for services and In

midnight service Christmas eve
at 11 p. m. The Presbyterian
church choir, under the direc
tion of Miss Miriam Burton,
will sing. The Rev. Ward A,
Rice of the First Christian
church will give a short mes
sage. We hope that many will
come and help us observe His
birthday.
