Hull Leaving Frank Hull. manager of the Jackson Coun'y Chamber of Commerce, has been granted a 60-day leave of ab sence from his work because of ill health and leaves the first Ql next week for Tucson, Ariz., for an extended rest. Dallalre' wrote to one friend "Briefly, I was in England, came here Nov. 8 lalt vear and have wanted to leave ever since." Fire of un determined origin destroyed the cottage occupied by Mr. and Mrs. Fred Kerby, in Alley's camp, 3 miles from Prospect last week. Mrs. Kerby was at a neighbor's house for a few minutes, and on her return, found the home in flames, and was unable to save any of the contents. The garage was fastened on the house, but the family car was saved as Mr. Kerby had driven in to Prospect shortly before. A new house is under construction, and will be ready for the Kerbys to move in, within another week. Mrs. Frances Hornbuckle and daughter, Mrs. Henry Herman, left here Dec. 7, for Fresno, Cat, to visit their son and brother. Pvt Melville Hornbuckle, for a week. Pvt Hornbuckle will be at Fresno a short time, after which be will be shipped to a more permanent base for ad vanced training In automotive mechanics. Jlmmie Reel was injured In the Herman Bros. Eugene Palmer of McClel- lan Field, near Sacramento, vis ited his uncles and aunts. Mr. and Mrs. George L. Jantzer and Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Kelley, and cousins, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Jantzer, Monday and Tuesday, before solni on to Central Point and Azalea to visit other rela tives.
