Am brose, who spent n few days in Medford on business, returned this morning to his home in Portland. In WAC Franc :s Anne Fraed rick of Prospect Ir as reported to the Women's Army Corps at Ft. Des Moines, la., (or basic train ing in the corps. ! Ihe was one of eight young women from Ore gon in the group. Miss Fraed rick's sister, Jean, is also in the WAC and is now stationed at Spokane. . Return Col. and Mrs. Oliver L. Overmyer returned to Med ford last week after spending over two and a half years in Philadelphia, where the colonel was stationed in the Quarter Master Depot. Prior to that time, they had lived here eight years. They are again living in their home at 610 S. Holly street. Accident A Greyhound bus operated by Charles B. Cook of Route 1 struck a parked truck registered to Glendon O. Garner of Junction City on the Pacific highway a mile north of Central Point Tuesday night, according to a report on file today. The re port quoted Cook as saying the truck wa3 parked on the high way and that he didn't see it in time to stop. Plan Party The Young Peo ple's group of the First Christian church Is sponsoring a folk-game party at the Lincoln school gym nasium Dec. 10 at 7:30 p. m. to which all young people are wel come. Hull, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank X. Hull of 617 S. Grape street, ar rived home last night to spend a 15-day furlough visiting friends and relatives in Med ford. Sgt. Hull is stationed in a finance detachment at Kennedy General hospital at Memphis, Tenn. He is a graduate of Med ford high school, and prior to his entrance into the army in April, 1942, he was employed at the United States National bank here, In Italy Charles J. Previous word was to the effect that Pvt Williams had been in North Africa since last February. A graduate of Medford high school in the class of '41, Williams volunteered for immediate overseas duty when ' he entered the army a year ago. A brother. Condition Satisfactory His attending physician said today that the condition of City Re corder Mose Alford, confined in Sacred Heart hospital with a severe chest congestion, was satisfactory in view of his age.
