The 96th Divi sion band under direction of Chief Warrant Officer Shetney will furnish the dance music and entertainment. This will be one of the first opportunities for the Medford public to see and dance to this popular band which fea tures musicians who have pre viously played for famous or COLDS Relieve misery direct -without "dostng. (U.R) Three weeks ago, Carl Lagerstrom, 67, met an old friend, Charles Nelison, and they shook hands vigorously. Soon afterward, Lagerstrom experi enced a pain in his right arm. Hospitalized, he was found to have suffered a compound frac ture. An Infection developed and today he died. A course in the elements of cooking, conducted by the bak ing and cooking section of the office'of the quartermaster gen eral, is designed to make every soldier his own emergency chef.
