Main Dial 3170 Coltags Cheese"" Cottage cheese Is difficult to digest With a strong digestive system, it Is a source of good supply of protein. . Protein of excellent quality may be sup plied the system by mixing in equal parts milk and navy bean. This combination is said to be equal If not superior in protein to porterhouse steak. It is much richer in vitamins and minerals, and a great deal less expensive. v i' It Is not advisable to substitute cottage cheese for milk, as it does not supply calcium in suffi cient amount. Cottage cheese supplies only 154 millograms to the cup. This is less than one fifth of the recommended daily intake of calcium. A cup of milk supplies nearly twice as much. The food value received from cottage cheese is proportional to the ability of the digestive sys tem to properly digest it. Also its value depends much upon the manner in which it is made.
