guests' favorite recipes. Supper

Tuesday the Perls and their
guests made a trip to Crater
Lake, encountering a snow
storm In the park. The visitors
plan on leaving Tuesday of this
week.
St. Anne's Society
Of Catholic Church
Plans Benefit Party
St. Anne's Altar society of
sacred Heart Catholic church is
sponsoring a large benefit card
party tomorrow night at the par
ish hall on South Oakdale Ave
nue. The affair is scheduled to
begin at 8 p. m. and various
card games will be played.
During the evening a commit
tee will give away a "Treasure
Trunk", filled with a quantity
of household articles donated by
various members of the society.
Refreshments will be served.
In charge of the affair is Mrs.
W. Alex Kuehlthau as chairman.

Mrs. Racine has w resided in
Medford her entire life and
has many friends. She attended
the Medford Schools, graduating
from Medford high school, and
.later attended the University of
Utah at Salt Lake City for three
years. There she was a member
of Delta Gamma, national social
sorority, and of Apraim, honor
society. Ensign Racine attended
the University of Idaho and
graduated from Reed College in
Portland. His social fraternity
is Sigma Nu. The 'ensign re
ceived his naval training , at
Notre Dame and Columbia uni
versities and is now stationed
in the port director's office of
the naval control station in
Miami.
Ensign and Mrs. Racine arc
making their home at 519 North
East 72nd St., in Miami.
Mrs. McKay went south with
her daughter for the wedding
and returned ' to Medford last
Sunday. ' ' "

her departure from Medford
and she and her fiance were
entertained in Miami prior to
the wedding.

Wed In Alturas
The wedding of Mrs. Cordla
Deatherage to Lawrence Nash,
both of Medford, took place
Monday, October 18, in Alturas,
Calif. For the ceremony Mrs,
Deatherage-wore a suit of brown
with accessories of powder blue,
Mrs. Nash is the owner of the
Harmony beauty shop in Med
ford. She has made her home
here many years and has many;
friends. Mr. Nash. is with the'
Medford staff of the Office of
Defense Transportation. Mr.
and Mrs. Nash have taken up
residence at Cargill Court.

at a large wedding at the First
Christian church October 6.
Mrs. Douglas is the former Miss
Nellie Nipper, her parents being
Mr. and Mrs. Roy Nipper of

of Mr. and Mrs. Ross Douglas,
also of Medford.

Both Are Doctors
Dr. and Mrs. Max George
Carter, who were married Sep
tember 25 In Boston, Mass.,
have established a home In that
city, both being physicians on
the staff of Boston City hospital.
Dr. Max Carter is the son of Mr.
and Mrs. George Carter, 821 East
Jackson Blvd., and his wife is
the former Dr. . Barbara Ford,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fran
cis J. W. Ford of Boston.
Dr. Carter this month com
pletes a year as resident sur
geon for the Boston City hos
pital and the first of Novem
ber reports to the naval hos
pital near Boston for duty as
a navy physician. His wife is
resident physician specializing
in internal medicine for the city
hospital. ;

from Medford senior high
school, the University o Oregon
and from Harvard Medical
school. Dr. Barbara Carter
graduated from Bryn Mawr be
fore attending medical school

Mrs. Rupert James Henry, Sr..
and the late Mr. Henry, of Med
ford, and is now stationed at
Oakland, Calif. No definite date
has been set for the wedding.

Lt. Henry graduated from Med
