Ternahan, executive secretary of the war price and rationing board, who explained some of the changes forced upon gasoline users by reduction of the value of cou- , pons from four to three gallons each. "A" book holders will have maximum ot 180 miles per month instead of 240, and non preferred users of gasoline, that is, persons working In non essential industries, are to bt limited to 480 miles per month for driving in the course of work Instead of the former 720, Mr. Ternahan states. - Holders of "B" or "C" books will bs expected to use but 60 miles of their A cards for occupational requirements, In stead of ISO as heretofore, tht secretary said. May File New Plea "Every motorist is requested to do his best to live with' the cut," Mr. Ternahan said. "Ht ia not expected to apply Imme diately for an increased ration. If, however, s ration-holder finds he cannot get along on the cut. he may file an entirely new application for supplemental ' mileage."
