Herk, co producer of the revue "Wine, Women and Sonf ," which a Jury had found to be an "obscene, In decent, Immoral and Impure ex hibition," and cava suspended to two of his associates. Samuel Funt, company manager, and Herman Shapiro, stage manager. The judge In Imposing sen tence criticized persons who pre sent public exhibitions "intend ed to excite the passions inordi nately or degrade the dignity of women." Prospect Prospect, Dec. 17 (Spl) Un ion Sunday School will present their Christmas entertainment at Townsend hall, Sunday, Dec 20, at 8 p. m. The Christmas program to be given by the grade school pupils, and the Christmas tree, will be Wednesday afternoon, Dec. 23. Christmas candy and oranges will be distributed to the school and pre-school children by the local Parent-T eschar Association. School will be dismissed for the holidays, until January 4. Mrs. Burton Broomfield was hostess for a dinner party Sat urday evening, honoring her hus band's birthday. Covers were placed for Mr. and Mrs. Harry Goods, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Jant ter. Miss Dorothy Fatrchlld, the guest of honor, Mr. Broomfield. Mrs. Broomfield, and sons, Rob ert and Burton, Jr. . Mr. and Mrs. Stanford Pear son, students of University of Oregon, Eugene, and Paul Pear son, senior at Oregon State col lege at Corvallls, arrived here the first of the week to spend the Christmas vacation with their mother, Mrs. Frances I. Pearson. They were accompanied here by Weldon Zundel, who at tends the university m Eugene, and will visit his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. Zundel, and brother, Robert, for the next two weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Jantzer, left Tuesday for Portland on business. Phil and Andy Jackson, em ployes of Herman Bros. Lbr. Co. for the past several months, and Mrs. Phil Jackson moved to Grants Pass, Saturday. Walter Holcomb, employee of the F. Goetx Lbr. Co., has been suffering from an Infected hand which was pierced by strand of a cable. He was in the hospital In Medford several days last week and after being home few days, returned to the hospital last Saturday, Mrs. George Ring and ehll dren, Monty and Mickey, and Miss Marie Ring of Medford, visited Mrs. Myron Taylor Fri day. Mrs. Helen Huffman has been 111 with Influenza at her home here for the past week, and un able to teach at Elk Creek school. Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Pease . spent the week-end with friends in Medford. Frank Proctor was first of the 18-year-olds to register with the Prospect board. He Is a student In the local high school, and re sides with his parents on Elk Creek. Mrs. Mary E. Grieve and son James Heston Grieve were In charge of the registration at the Grieve store office. Mrs. Horace Thompson and aaughtcr. Miss Beth, accomoan- led Rev. and Mrs. Crawford Vandernool to Medford, Dec. 11. and visited relatives there and at Antelope until Sunday evening Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Barnard re having a fine modern house built on their acreage a half mile west of Copco, bordering the Cuter Lake highway. It will have five major rooms and bath, and hardwood floors throughout. Arthur Hertager, who has been visiting his parents. Mr. and Mrs. Heinle Hertager. for the past couple of weeks, from California, where he has been employed in defense Industry, made busi ness trip to Klamath Falls, Mon day. Names of the soldiers, as re leased by Camp White, are Pvts. Everett Robert Johnson, 28, De catur, Ind., and Charles Hall. Jr.. 40, Geneva, Ohio. The next of kin have been notified.
