that funeral processions have
right-of-way over other traffic on
the streets and highways and
asked motorists to refrain from
interrupting the processions.

Erickson after charging that her
actor-husband was a good actor
but a pretty poor husband."
Miss Hayes told Superior
Judge Henry M. Willis she and
her husband separated 28 days
after they eloped to Minden,
Nev., last June 12. She said
Erickson had been divorced only
eight days from his former wife.

were two WAACS, Lieut. Emily
Hathaway and Lieut. Margaret
Horn, first corps' officers of the
Woman s Army Auxiliary corps
to be stationed in Oregon. In
company with army recruiting
officers they were in the uni
form of their corps, the first to
be seen In southern Oregon.
Lleuts. Hathaway and Horn
are graduates of the first officer
candidate school at Fort Des
Moines, la., and had Just visited
Klamath Falls on a recruiting
mission.
Also here were Lieut. Col. B.
H. Hensley, commanding of
ficer of the recruiting station In
Portland where the two girls
will be stationed; Captain Gerald
M. Sullivan, west coast air force
specialist from the training cen
ter at Santa Ana, Cal., and.
Claire Warner Churchill, of the
Oregon Writers' project with the
public relations department.
They were met in this city by
Sergeant F. Richard Huycke,
local army recruiting officer at
the federal building.

vision ruling held today in re
versing a judgment against the
treasurer of the United States,
William A. Julian.
A supreme court had awarded
the caddy, 19-year-old Theodore
Leombruno, $5,000 for the al
leged assault. The majority of
the appellate division found this
"grossly excessive" and ordered
a new trial unless the caddy
agreed to accept $2,500 within
10 days.
According to the caddy the
assault occurred after Julian's
ball landed in a dirt road.
