P.-T.A. held their first meeting of the school year September 25 with 13 members present. Mrs. Bill .e Vestal, president, presided and arrangements were made for the Hallowe'en party. Commit tees appointed for the various booths, eats, and games, will be announced later. No one has been appointed as yet to cook the school lunches. McClimans and daughter, Amelia Law, came driving In from Sacramento, Calif., for few days' visit. High school started Monday morning. Harry Lowe U prin cipal and the teachers are Mrs. Ralph Train and Mrs. Ted Fred enburg. Quite a number of new students enrolled. Glenn Alberts and Leland El lis are here visiting relatives and friends. They have been in San Francisco working. Miss Francis Aikins, fifth and sixth grade teacher, has moved into Mrs. Clara Cleveland's house. George Wyatt left for Med ford Saturday. He has been employed for the past year here in Faber's store. Mr. and Mrs. William Alsme left for Phoenix Saturday where he will teach. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Abbott have moved from the Morehouse house into the old Hildreth prop erty. Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Wright and family are here from California visiting friends. Bob Walker went to Ashland Monday and brought Johnny Kent home because he has in fection in his eyes. Mr. Kent was going to the Southern Ore gon Normal school. Mrs. Frank Cory, Mrs. Billy Edmondson, Mrs. Elga Abbott and Mrs. Alva Webster were Medford shoppers Monday. Lee Casey is layed off from work for a few days on account of his arm, injured while work ing a few days ago. Word was received here from Bill Pankey. who is in the U. S. army at Fort Lewis that he was in the hospital there. Miss Jean Page, who is em ployed in Medford, visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Page, over Jhe week-end. Mrs. Orbra Abbott and her brother, Fred Heryford. made a business trip to Medford, Mon day. Mr. Gordon has returned to his home here and is going to school after spending the sum mer in California. Friends and relatives of George Prowell of Trail, who is in the Community hospital with a broken leg, wish him a very speeay recovery. Mrs. Hazel Burton and three children have moved from their ranch on the right fork of the creek to the dwelling by the Foots Creek store. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Pickard, proprietors of the store, have moved into one of their cabins. Health Unit will meet Octo ber 6 at the Hill home, with dessert luncheon at 12:30.
