Leonard of 2503 Hill crest road, was enlisted in the VI program of the U. S. naval reserve at Portland recruiting headquarters this week, accord ing to an Associated Press dis patch. Also enlisted in the navy at Portland was Joseph C. Whit sett of Ashland, son of Julian C. Whitsett. Sister Dies Word has been received In this city of the death of Mrs. Lucille Buxton of Cor vallis, sister of Mrs. Margaret Fabnck of 106 Crater Lake ave nue. Funeral services will be held In Corvallis Wednesday, Mrs. Buxton died Sunday morn' ing and was well known In this city, where she had visited many times. She was owner of the Buxton Planing Mill and Cab inet Works in Corvallis. Minor Collisions Carl Ash' craft of 808 Cedar street and Edna Stallings of 1508 Prune street were operators of pas. senger cars which collided Mon day at 9 p. m. at the intersex tlon of Main and Bartlett streets, a report on file stated. Albert John Hall of 519 South Newton street and Mrs. Ger trude Bishop of 717 South Peach street were drivers of passenger cars involved in a minor mishap at 11th and King streets Mon day, according to a report filed. Two trucks, operated by C. Bruce Campbell of Central Point and Steve Wilson, collided on the Tiller-Trail road Sunday, according to a report filed. In Justice Court Roy Gene Howard of Medford paid $5 fine and $4.50 costs in Justice court yesterday for truck overload. Roosevelt Dufur of Shady Cove paid same fine and costs on a similar charge. A fine of $1.50 and costs of $4.50 were imposed on Joe Maries of Medford for driving a ear with no operators' license. Arrests were made by state police.
