Twenty- seven Medford women under leadership of Mrs. Jack Morrill, Red Cross capUin, to whom the word "service" means hard work, devotion to an ideal and sacrifice have earned for them selves and the citizens of Med ford and vicinity, the enviable distinction of being the first Motor Corps Unit in Jackson County now engaged in active co-operation with the military authorities. Donating their time, tires, au tomobiles and energy to the task, the Motor Corps Unit un der direction of Red Cross Field Director Joseph Laux, has ar ranged transportation facilities between Camp White and the cities of Medford, Ashland and Grants Pass for convalescent soldiers, families of 111 patients and nurses. They have also un dertaken an official messenger and essential delivery service between these areas and the camp. Other duties include transpor tation to camp and return of the parents of soldiers and friends who have come to visit and have no other means of conveyance. Emergency requests for this service may be made at the American Red Cross Headquar ters in the courthouse, Medford. or by calling Extension 27 at Camp White. Rev. Sutton to Speak At Nazarene Sunday Rev. Robert Sutton wil be pulpit guest of Rev. Fred M. Weatherford Sunday evening at 7:45 and will be the special spokesman of the hour at the Church of the Nazarane, Holly and First Streets. Rev. Sutton is a young man and holds a re sponsible post among the young people of the Southern Califor nia District Church of the Naz arene. He bears a special chal lenge message to young people. (P) A west bound Spokane, Portland and Seattle freight train crashed into the rear end of another westbound freight, which had halted at Yelleplt, 20 miles below here for water, in juring three trainmen seriously and derailing scores of freight cars yesterday.
