Stanfield, 40, of Medford and Trula F. Sted ry, over 21, of Klamath Falls were issued a marriage license In Reno, Nev., recently, accord ing to an Associated Press re port received today. 9 Visitors Here Mrs. Paul En tremont of the Holland Hotel re turned to Medford yesterday after a short trip to her home in Colusa, Calif. Mrs. Entremont was accompanied here by her mother and mother-in-law, Mrs. James M. Stovall and Mrs. E. K. Entremont, both of Colusa, who will visit the Entremonts for a week. Mr. Entremont Is a con tractor at Camp White. Anyone interested is asked to call the Red Cross office before Wednesday of next week. Mixer Is Damaged A cement mixer at a plant of the Semon Construction company, McAn drews Road and Riverside ave nue, was considerably damaged yesterday when the gas tank ex ploded. Firemen made a run to the scene with the chemical truck and extinguished the fire. In England A cablegram was received this morning by Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Earley from their son, Sgt. Joe Earley, stating that he had arrived safely in England. Sgt. Earley, who is with the headquarters squadron of the Eighth Fighter Command of the U. S. air corps, left the eastern seacoast about a month ago. Four In Court Four persons appeared in city police court this morning because of traffic violations. O. W. Harris was fined $2.50 on a double-parking charge, Tayna Tatman was fined $10 for violation of the basic motor law, Marvin Dale Morris, Ashland, was fined $5 for driv ing without an operator's license and John Quincy Adams, $5 for failure to stop at a stop sign. Many Are Fined Several men came up in city police court this morning on charges of being drunk or disorderly. James H. Mansell, 33 and Wilbert Alden Layton, 37, were both fined $10 on the disorderly charge. They were picked up during a fracas on South Central avenue around midnight last night. Marvin Sim mie Climer, 23, and Earl.Thos. McClellan, 25, also booked on a charge of being disorderly and fighting in a public place, each forfeited bail of $10 this morn ing. Russell Ruff, 31, and Ernest A. Singler has received notification from headquarters of the Oregon State Guard, Portland, of his promotion from sergeant to sec ond lieutenant in Company A, 1st regiment, Oregon State Guard, to fill a vacancy which existed. GLEN H. WRIGHT. 47 PASSES SUDDENLY Glen H. Wright, 47, who had recently come here and pur chased farm property out from Central Point, passed away sud denly in Medford yesterday forenoon. Mr. Wright came to town yes terday to see his doctor and had Just left the doctor's office when he became stricken. He was carried back to the office where all possible aid was rendered but he failed to regain con sciousness. Cerebral hemorr hage was given as the cause. He was born at Yakima, Wash., October 14, 1894. He came to Medford with his wife six weeks ago to make their home. They formerly resided at El Centro, Calif. Besides his wife, Ruth Wright, he leaves one daughter, Mrs. Harold Fly of Brawley, Calif. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Theo dore Wright, reside at Grand View, Wash. Five brothers and three sisters also survive. Ern est Wright and Mrs. Jas. Garret of El Centro, Calif.; Victor Wright, Yakima, Wash.; Theo dore and Donald of Grand View, Wash.; Phillip of Vancouver, Wash.; Mrs. Grace Sands of Seattle and Mrs. Ina Merlo of Hollywood, Calif.
