Jackson county residents have
a "chance of a lifetime" Friday
and Saturday of this week.
What probably has been many
American citizen's suppressed
desire to ride in an Army Jeep
may be realized through ar
rangements made by W. A
Gates, chairman of the Jackson
county war bond sale commit
te and his co-workers.
To all residents who purchase
a bond during the coming week
a ride in an army jeep is offered
at the Victory Center Friday and
Saturday. Gates said yesterday
that a sufficient supply of ieens
will be on hand to take care of
the anticipated "rides." The
Jeeps will be in charge of
handsome soldiers with south
ern accents," according to Gates.
who urged all to take this no-
portunity to enjoy a ride in one
of the American army's famed
pieces of army equipment.
It was explained that in pur
chasing a bond during the com
ing week at the post office, bank
or other issuing agency, that the
bond holder should ask for a
dated copy of the bond applica
tion blank. This can then be
presented at the Victory Center
for a "ride in a Jeep."
