reported to be improving nicely

and will be able to see friends
in a few days.
Visits Mother Rodney Rusque
has returned to Portland after
visiting his mother, Mrs. Ruby
'Rusque, 707 Sherman street,
who has been ill. Rusque re
cently underwent a throat oper
ation which will enable him to
enter military service in a few
weeks.

which collided Wednesday about
12 miles east of Eagle Point on
the Butte Creek road, a report
on file stated.

San Francisco were recent visi
tors at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. A. V. Hardy on South Ivy
street. They had been visiting
friends in Spokane and stopped
here en route south. Jonason is
credit manager for the western
division of Shell Oil company.

drunk in a public place. Edward
Fax was fined $10 and given a
five day suspended Jail sentence
on the same charge.
Traffic Violators Ernie M.
Reynolds was fined $3 in the
city police court yesterday on a
charge of speeding. Vernon C.
Davis charged with the same
violation was fined $10. E. N.
Maxar and John Krizo forfeited
$1 bail for overparking.
Two Masses Until further

was announced today by the

Car Damaged The automo
bile registered to Mrs. W. H.
Griffin of 710 Dakota street
was damaged last evening when
another automobile ran into the
Griffin car which was parked
on South Oakdale avenue. The
fender was badly smashed, a re
port on file stated.

by state police to appear in
justice court today for operating
an automobile without a muf
fler. Kenneth Bruce Demmltt of
this city was also cited to justice
court today for no chauffeur's
license and failure to obey traf
