Daniel forfeited $5 bail in tha city police court today for fail ure to stop at a stop light In Portland Mrs. Katie Dunn is spending the summer in Port land visiting her two sons, Fred and Clarence Dunn. Mrs. Dunn resides at 811 Bennett avenue. SuDerlntendent Hare Dale F. Glnn, Josephine county school superintendent, was in Medford yesterday conferring with C. R. Bowman, Jackson county school superintendent. Attend Meeting Ashland resi dents attending the Fellowship meeting here Monday included Mrs. Bertha Howell. Mrs. A. J DeLisle and Mr. and Mrs. Ben Petersen and daughter, Dorothy Returns Here Albert S. Ros- enbaum returned here by train today after a short trip to Eugene and Roseburg, where he visited friends. Mrs. Shipstead has been In San Francisco with her hus band, who manages the Ice Follies In the bay city. CP Slight Accident Cars driven v Dr. J. H. waiiery 01 Trail and Herman Walter Hayden of Pollocto Pines, Cal., were in volved In a minor accident on the Elk Creek road Friday state police reported today. The road had been graded Just recently and loose rocks caused the cars to skid into each other. Damage to the cars was slight and the occupants of the cars were not Injured. Traffic Violations Harold J. Alden of Hotel Allen was ar rested by state police yesterday for operating an automobile with a void foreign license Alden was cited to appear in the Justice court Friday. Paul Willis Dole of Prospect was cited to appear in Justice court Friday for failure to display license plates. Other state police arrests yesterday included Rob- ert William Jones of Central ntnt frtr in nverlnarl on lnffffinff truck, Bert Ellis of this city and D. W. Bradley of Talent on iimllar charges. All were cited to appear in the Justice court today. Four Mishaps Four minor automobile mishaps occurred within the last two days accord ing to reports on file. They included: the collision of cars driven by M. S. Ruff, route 2 and J. W. Eads, 29 Kenwood avenue at the Middle road and Highway 99 intersection, Tues day at 4 p. m.: a mishap Involv ing autos operated by H. E. Beal of this city and Bert Lowry Bear Creek Orchards, at the In tersection of Cottage and Ninth streets Wednesday at 5:30 p. m collision of cars driven by Bob Brown, 801 East Main street and William Daniel, general deliv ery, at the intersection of Main -street and Riverside avenue yes terday at 9:13 p. m., and the collision of cars operated by Dale W. Smith, 530 Haven street and Emerson L. Harris of Eu gene at the intersection of Bart- lett and Third streets yesterday at 5:15 p. m. Overpark C. A. Winetrout paid $1 fine In the city police court yesterday for overparking. Lyle L. Gregory forfeited $1 bail on a similar charge. e a a Hare Today Francis Lambert of Portland was a Medford visi tor today. Defense Meeting A special defense meeting has been called for residents of Jacksonville, to be held at the Old Jacksonville courthouse Friday at 8:30 p. m. All are urged to be present.
