Mayfield, princi pal of Medford high school, was named president of the Medford Rotary club for the ensuing year at a recent meeting of the newly elected board of direc tors. Mayfield, former vice president of the club, has served as president for the past few months in the absence of Presi dent D. Ford McCormick, who has been engaged In defense work in Nevada. Allan Perry, official of the U. S. National bank of this city, was selected to serve as vice president and H. L. Brown, man ager of the Montgomery-Ward I store here, was chosen second ' vice-president. W. E. Lantis, who has served during the past year as secretary of the club, was re-elected to that office. Orin Schenck will again serve as treasurer and Morris B. Leonard will assume the duties of sergeant-at-arms. Board of directors for the coming year will be Leonard B. Mayfield, D. Ford McCormick, C. B. Collins, Allan Perry, H. L Brown, Robert Duff and L. ,M. . Weisenburger. GETSTEN DAYS William Schultz, 55, charged with disorderly conduct was sentenced to ten days In the county Jail and payment of costs yesterday, by Justice of the Peace W. R. Coleman. Schultz was arrested by Marshal Arden Plnkham of Central Point after he had created a disturbance. Schultz, it was brought out, was begging for food, and when asked to cut some wood in pay mant herami ansered and did considerable talking, some of which bordered on tha unpatri otic. t Oca T. Mr. and Mrs. Guetzlaff are leaving this week for Los Angeles to make their home where Mr. Guetzlaff and son Frederick have been employed for some time.
