Condition Fair The condition of Mrs. Thomas West of Gold Hill, who accidentally shot her self in the abdomen with a .22 calibre rifle Tuesday ni?ht. was described by Sacred Heart hos pital attendants today as being 'fair. Mrs. West spent a fairly comfortable night last night, It was reported. Airmail Increase The war time Industrial speed-up on the Pacific coast Is reflected In a 81.5 per cent increase In air mail loads on the coastal route during the first 60 days of this year, Max Henne, station man ager of United Air Lines at the Medford municipal airport said today. On the coastwise route an average of 306,360 letters are being flown daily. To Enterprise Mr. and Mrs. fay Stickler of S14 Franquette ftreet will leave tomorrow by motor for Enterprise after mak ing their home in this city for the past three years. Mr. Stick ler, who has been employed in the office of the Crater Lake National Park in the Medford federal building, plans to Join the U. DANCE ORIENTAL GARDENS 0 Saturday Nite LARGE HALL PERSONAL 111 At Home Hugo Guenther superintendent of mails at the Medford post office, is 111 at his home, 613 Newtown street, with a slight attack of tonsolitis. Reported Stolen W. J. Vestal, Glendale, reported to city police that a reddish gray overcoat was stolen from his car, Chev rolet coupe, parked In the Med ford hotel lot between 9:30 and 11:00 last night. The coat was sued 38 or 40 with a fine weave. A mahogany colored lady's purse containing $10 was also taken. Driving Course for Motor Corps Women Completed by Forty The Red Cross Volunteer Mo tor Corps. Medford chapter, have completed the driving course given by C. D. French, of the Oregon state driving motor di vision. Forty women have at tended these classes making the second largest class in the state. The Motor Corps is now receiv ing instruction in motor mechan ics from William A. Young at his garage. All members are re quired to have both standard and advanced first aid training which they now are receiving. The duties of the Motor Corps vary according to the needs of the community in which it is lo cated. Here in Medford they will be mostly connected with the military reservation. Camp White, when it is completed. They will include transportation of workers, entertainers, supplies and convalescent soldiers to and from the camp. There will also be a program to provide outings for hospitalized service and ex service men and women. In case of disaster the corps -members are fitted for ambulance driving and will provide transportation for relief supplies and workers. Jailed Pacifist Is Visited by Friends Wesley William. Cox of the Plnehurst district, held In the county jail as a conscientious objector was visited yesterday by friends and relatives who brought him oranges.
