He is in Jackson county renewing friendships and meet ing voters in the Interest of his candidacy. However, it is a fact that development of the resources of the fourth district, notably min erals and timber, will not only benefit our civilian population but will in itself be a substantial contribution toward the war effort." Harris Ellsworth lives in Roseburg where he is editor and manager of the Roseburg News Review. Ellsworth also is state senator from Douglas county having been appointed to that position near the close of the 1941 session of the legislature. G. P. SEA SCOUTS Sea Scouts of Grants Pass re ceived high recognition today according to K. A. Wells, local boy scout executive. The ship which Is made up of senior scouts is under leadership of Ralph Thompson and has re ceived recognition as a member of the regional sea scout flotilla. "This means," said Wells, "that the Sea Scout Ship Rogue of Grants Pass is one of nine Sea Scout groups out of 08 In Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Montana to receive this rec ognition." The rating Is based upon the total accomplishments of the group for the year 1941 and is granted by the national Boy Scout organization. The only higher rating In Sea Scout ing Is that of National Flagship awarded annually to a very lim ited number of groups. This Is the first time that this honor has come to a group of sea scouts anywhere in southern Oregon.
