Lieut.- Smith is an instruc tor in air navigation training school at Mather Field. To Norfolk Clinton Spencer. Jr., son of Mr and Mrs. Clinton Spencer of Route 1, lett Ust night for Norfolk, Va., where he has been transferred by the navy. Spencer, who hat been with the navy at San Diego for three years, had been visiting his parents for the past ten days. His wife accompanied him to Medford and will remain here for the time being. Spencer has been In the navy over seven years. In Hospital Suffering frcm severe cuts received when he backed Into a dry kiln fan at the Southern Oregon Sugar Pine Co., mill at Central Point, Mon day, Robert B Merritt, Route 1. Central Point, is confined in the Sacred Heart hospital. Over 100 stitches were required tor cuts in his right hand and arm and in the calf of his right leg. Mer ritt's little finger was severed. To Show Pictures A program of motion pictures, featuring ac tivities of the navy will be pre sented at the Legion birthday party at the armory tonight. The pictures will follow the dinner, to be served by the auxiliary at 6:30 p.m All visiting Legion naires and auxiliary members are invited. Post Commander Ray Wright said. Meet Postponed The project leader training meeting on the "Use of Milk. Eggs and Dairy Products" scheduled for Thurs day, has been postponed, accord ing to Miss Marian J. Farrcll, home demonstration agent. Miss Lucy Case, nutrition specialist with tho Oregon State college extension service, will conduct the meeting instead on April 29 in the courthouse auditorium. This will mean that the meet ings will be presented through out the county during the month of May. Minor Collisions Slight dam age resulted when the panenger autos of F. J.
