One and six-hundreds inches of new snow brought ground cover to 60 Inches at headquarters, according to the park office in the federal build ing. , Hears From Nephew Mrs. Fred- Fick of 608 Newtown street has heard from Lieut, and Mrs. Duane Malone who have been residing in Honolulu, she reported today. Lieut. Malone, a nephew of Mrs. Fick, is now on duty wherever strategy at the moment dictates, the letter re ceived by his aunt indicated. The Malones had to evacuate their home and Mrs. Malone is now residing in a hotel at Hono lulu, the letter said. 0. . Plane Passengers Miss J. Rodasky arrived from Portland on the mid-morning United Mainliner today. V. F. Sander departed for Pendleton early this morning. Leaving last night were George Bonnell, to Port land, and H. Brady, to Seattle. Arriving yesterday afternoon were C. H. Buffington, from San Francisco, and J. R. Waters, from Los Angeles. Departing for Portland were M. E. Burns, O. Louderback and Miss Rodasky. Mrs. L. Kilgore and infant ar rived from Seattle early yester day afternoon. Arriving yester day noon from Los Angeles were R. L. Richter and H. J. Alley. Departing for Portland were Eino Hemmila, W. P. Choates and Dale Kaeg. Special Meeting Executive committee of Medford post, American Legion, will hold a special dinner-meeting at 6:30 tonight in the Jackson hotel. The regular semi-monthly meet ing of the post will be held at 8 tonight in council chambers at city hall, a new meeting place all members were asked to note. Visiting Legionnaires are invit ed by Commander E. W. Winkle. . Minor Accidents Helen' van Stein of 13 Glen Oak court and M. Deming of 310 South River side avenue drove cars involved in a slight mishap at East Main street and Willamette avenue yesterday afternoon, a report on me saia today, cars operated by , Glenn Howell of Central Point and Gerald R. Brown, no address listed, were involved in a slight accident on the Crater Lake highway five miles from Medford yesterday afternoon, according to a report on file today. In Training A new class of aviation cadets beginning train ing at the air corps basic flying school near Bakersfield, Cal., recently Included Martin Luth er of Talent, Fielding K. Weath erford, of 906 North Central ovenue and Lester W. Shepherd of 608 Clark street, according to official word received here today. The cadets will remain at the school until they have com pleted their basic training. V V Defense Meeting A civilian defense meeting will be held at 7:30 tonight in the Roosevelt school for all persons residing in precincts for which the fol lowing are voting places: Hill- crest orchard house, precinct 27; old depot at west end of Main street bridge, precinct 42; Boy Scout headquarters, precinct 43; 916 East Main street, precinct 44; Roosevelt school, precinct 45 and Herman Powell residence near reservoir, precinct 46. Everyone who votes at these places was urged by Frank Hull, civilian defense coordinator, to attend the meeting as a matter of self-interest. Instructions will be given on incendiary bombs and how to handle them and the place of each citizen in civilian defense will be explained.
