Aerial Scenes In Craterian Picture Filmed In Medford Late last summer group of Hollywood technicians, camera men and stunt flyers arrived In Medford and set up head quarters at the Medford airport for some stunt flying scenes. It was the technical crew for the picture, "Keep 'Em Flying," starring comedy aces Abbott and Costello, opening today at the Craterian theatre. It isn't the first time that Hollywood has sent technicians to the Rogue River valley for background scenes but, those who were lucky enough to see the "rushes" of the scenes film ed here when previewed one night after the last show at the Craterian theatre, were enthus iastic in praise of the exception ally good scenes of the Rogue River valley's many scenic won ders. Audiences will find it easy to recognize Roxy Ann and the surrounding hills. And those who have been up In the air above Medford airport will rec ognize many familiar scenes: the orchards, the desert, the air port and, looking sharp, even the Crater Lake highway.
