M. Morris on King's highway, December 20. This was a Christmas meeting and the group was entertained with several Christmas carols by a group of eight of Eve Pren tice's Accoi dionettes. Two special numbers which were enjoyed were given by Maxwell Peirce, one of which was "It Came Upon the Mid night Clear'' which he sang to his own accordion accompani ment. After a brief business session Mrs. Frances Cochran read "Christmas In the White House." This story revealed many changes In the anmial celebration of our presidents. Local Girl Marries In Double Wedding Participating in a double wedding In Reno, Nev., last Sunday morning at 10:4. o'clock were Alice Mae Arnold of this city and John P. Burch of Hamilton Field, Cal. The cere monies were read by the district Judge. Also married were Shirley Pellymounter of Los Angeles and Harold Greenfield of Hamil ton Field. The couples attended each other. Mrs. Burch is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Shirley of this city and well-known here where she has been employed for the past seven months at F. w. woolworth company. The bridegroom is staff sergeant with the 77th pursuit squadron based at Hamilton Field The Lydlans Missionary club of which Mrs. Burch was a member, honored her with a surprise shower Dec. 19. Those attending were Mrs. Alfred Anderson, Mrs. John W. New man, Mrs. Miner Boshcars, Miss Alpha Whlllock, Miss Evelyn Brock, Miss Vernie Davenport and Miss Helen Evans. Family Dinner At Dyer Home Christmas Day Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Dyer entertained at their home on Myrtle street with a family din ner Christmas day. Christmas decorations were used on the table and covers were marked with old snapshots of the guests. Attending were Mr. and Mrs. Dyer's son and family, Mr. and Mrs. L. F. Stephens and two children, Mary Ann and Frances of Yreka, Cal.; Mr. and Mrs. C. G. Wimer and two sons, Alvin and Don; Mrs. Clara Bailey of Myrtle Creek and Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Open House Honors Aviators At Morrill Home Mrs. Corbin Edgell and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Morrill were hosts to tviators at the Medford Municipal airport Christmas day when open house was held from 2 until 6 o'clock at the Morrill home on East Main street. About 17 aviators called dur ing the day and enjoyed a buf fet dinner. The Morrill have taken up residence in the R. W. Sleeter home. Junior and Cal vin of Lozler lane, plan to leave today by motor for Arkansas and Chicago, III., where they will visit friends for the next four weeks. Miss Margaret, a graduate of Med ford high school last spring, is planning to enter St. Frances hospital In San Francisco in February to take up nurses training. Johannsons Here From Oakland Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Johannson of Oakland, Cal., left Friday for tneir nome after spending Christmas day at the home of Mrs. Johannson's parents. Carol Buonoccre's Fifth Birthday A Christmas birthday party honored Carol Buonocore at the home of her parents. Dr. and Mrs. Lawrence Buonocore, 522 South Oakdale avenue, Wednes day afternoon. The party cele brated her fifth birthday. Games were played and the group sang Christmas carols and enacted nursery rhymes. The guests received gifts from a fish pond and Carol received many gifts. Colored motion pic tures of the party were taken. The birthday cake was deco rated in Yule colors and the house carried out a holiday decorative theme. Attending were Ann and Alice Gentle, Linda Lou Lent ery, Janet Coyle, Bobbie Klno shita, Marcia Young, Jimmy and Janet Perry, Freddie Leonard, Kathleen Guiley, Marcia and Leila Redden, Patty Hampson of Portland, Dickey Buonocore and Carol. Later in the afternoon a group of mothers called for a social hour. Among them were Mrs. C. W. Lemery. Mrs. C. L Coyle, Mrs. H. S. Kinoshita, Mrs. O. W. L. club. their husbands, and friends en joyed the annual Cnristmas party at the I. O. O. F. hall Dec. 20. Gifts were exchanged and dancing enjoyed during the evening. Helen Rammin To Wed Today Miss Helen Rammin, daugh. ter of Mr. and Mrs. Hans Ram min of West 12th street and Hugo L. Ford, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Ford, of West Eighth street, will be married this aft ernoon at 2:30 o'clock in the Sacred Heart church. Miss Rammin is a graduate of Medford high school and Mr. Ford graduated from high school in South Dakota.
