Resigns Announcement was made today of the resignation of Miss Frances M. Martin as sec retary to E. P. Leavitt. superin tendent of Crater Lake national park. No reason was given for the resignation. Miss Martin will spend the Christmas holidays at her home In Salem and then re turn to Medford for a stay be fore going on a visit to San Fran cisco. She has been a member of the Crater Lake national park staff since October 6 when she was transferred from the region al park service office In San Francisco. e To Carmel Dr. and Mrs. Charles T. Move Here Mr. and Mrs. Albert Thommesen returned to Medford from San Francisco last night to take up residence here again. Mr. Thommesen, a mechanical engineer, is employ ed by the army engineers. He worked here previously on the architect-engineer's staff that drew the plans for the proposed army cantonment. Yule Visitors Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Welin of Puente, Cal., ar rived last night to spend the Christmas holidays with Mr. and Mrs. Frank De Souza of 30 West ern avenue. Mrs. Welin and Mrs. Desouza are sisters. Mr. Welin is a walnut grower. He said that despite war conditions which have imposed travel restrictions In California, he and Mrs. Welin were treated with the utmost c o u rt e s y and consideration throughout the Journey north. "Ser geant Mulligan" and "Mystery Ship" close tonight at the Ri alto. The Roxy theatre, with Jackie Cooper as Henry Aldrich in "Life With Henry" heads the double feature program showing tonight and tomorrow, with "Murder Among Friends" as the second feature, complete shows tomorrow will be at 1:45, 3:13 6:45 and 0:30.
