The big stack of rebuilt toys from Santa's shop at fire de partment headquarters will be distributed by Lady Lions to the parents of needy children Friday and Saturday at Rogue River Chevrolet company's spa cious show room at Ninth and Bartlett streets. The distribution will begin at 9 a. m. Friday. Postal cards have been mailed by the Lady Lions to 265 families telling the parents on what day and at what hour to call at the Chevro let company for the toys. This method is used so that there won't be a rush all at one time and families were asked to call at the hour specified. Distribu tion has been planned carefully and there are enough toys on hand to provide gifts for all the children of the 265 families, ciH Mm. C. C. Proctor, gen eral chairman. Only families that have received postal cards should call for toys, she uded Gifts For All The number of children in the 265 families rai.ses from one to 16. For all of them there will be Christmas gifts because of the work of the Lady Lions and the city fire men who rebuilt and repaint old, discarded toys into new, shiny playthings for Yuletide giving. The firemen's work is prac tically completed and the recon structed toys are piled high at department headquarters. The Lady Lions will move the toys to the distributing center Thurs day and in the meantime the club and the firemen would like to have the public call at the fire hall to see what Santa will give to the underprivileged children this year. C. M. Hurd, nead of the Chev rolet company, voluntarily of fered use of his showroom for distribution of the toys. (By the Associated Press) Coming out openly against an order of the German occupation authorities for the first time since the armistice, France last night condemned a German ord er for the execution of 100 al leged Jewish communists and anarchists in occupied France. The French acknowledged the 100 were "delinquents" instead of hostages such as the Germans have executed in groups this fajl but said the very high num ber provoked "profound uneasi ness among Frenchmen. The Germans said Saturday the 100 would be shot in re prisal for "recent attacks against the occupation troops." They also fined the Jews in the occu pied zone 1,000,000,000 francs ($20,000,000). In partitioned Yugoslavia and Greece, several hundred thous and axis soldiers were reported tied up with steady and strong resistance by Serbs and Greeks in a small-scale war.
