He was graduated recently from
the Ryan aviation school in San
Diego, Cal., as master mechanic.
He was graduated from St.
Mary'a academy In this city and
was once employed on the Mail
Tribune. He plans to remain in
Medford until the first of the

Mr. DeSouza said, "and this
early mailing Is encouraging.
If we get the packages in time,
we can handle them a lot better
than in a last-minute rush."
Letters to Santa Claus are
arriving in increasing numbers,
Mr. DeSouza said. The messages
are relayed for Santa Claus to
the city firemen and Lady Lions
whose aim is to make all chil
dren happy at Christmas.

kept there, from 4:30 p. m.

rainfall at the lake totaled 3.37
inches.
Rainfall was general through
out the valley and was accom
panied by a wind which weather
bureau reported as a little out
of the ordinary for Medford and
vicinity. Rain from 4:30 a m.
yesterday to 4:30 a. m. this
morning totaled .40 Inches. La
ter precipitation figures were
not available due to telephone
disorders but indications were

day. Occasional rain was fore
cast for Wednesday with cooler
