S. navy land plane at LaGuardia field early today and the naval plane took off for an undisclosed destination immedi ately after the serum was turned over to its pilot. The airlines plane from Chica go landed at 6:15 a. m. (EST) and the serum was transferred imme diately. Airline officials at Chi cago said the plane had awaited the arrival of the serum there by train from the Columbia hos pital in Milwaukee, last night. The serum had been requested by Leonard Kirby, executive of ficer of the New York City naval air station, to "send it south," the airline spokesman said. GUFFEY COAL ACT REPEAL FAVORED Washington. Nov. 22 (AP Senator Connally (D-Tex.) pro posed today that congress repeal the Guffey Coal act if CIO min ers decline to end the strike which has tied up production in most of the steel companies' cap tive coal mines and has spread with recurring violence to num erous commercial shafts. The policy committee of the United Mine Workers assembled here for a forenoon meeting to frame a formal reply to Presi dent Roosevelt's most recent peace proposal: that the union shop issue which brought on the strike be held In abeyance for the emergency or be submitted to arbitration. UP) United States army trucks moved Into the plant of the At las Drop Forge Co. today, past scanty picket lines of striking CIO workers, and about 20 sol diers began loading the trucks with completed parts manufac tured by the company. Richard Scott, company presi dent, commented only that "there are some forgings here they want badly." There were half a dozen trucks In the army force. Of ficers in charge declined to re veal their destination after load ing.
