A. Trubersh In Medford, November 0. Mr. and Mrs. George Mlllerd re turned November 8 from a business trip to Lake view. Home and school circle met Novem ber 7 and Mrs. Thurston's room pre sented a short program after the busl nesa session. The program, given by the upper grades. Included a piano solo by Janet Merrltt and guitar and vocal solo by Dale Dtckersar. After the program the mothers of the prim ary grades served refreshments. Mr. and Mrs. Marlon Lance of Tool Creek called at the W. R. Lamb home November 7. Mr. and Mrs. Mevln Martin and Donnte. also Mrs. Charles Sanderson of Beagle were guests November 9 of Mr. and Mrs. Homer Martin. China has 108,000 rural co operative societies, with a total membership of 6,000,000. Sams Valley. Nov. 14. (Spl) Residents of the community were entertained at Grange hall j November 3 with colored mov ing pictures shown by Colonel and Mi McCormick and 0r. and Mrs. . G. Simon. The pic tures were taken by Colonel McCormick during his two years service with the U. S. army in the Hawaiian islands and Panama Canal zone and were greatly enjoyed by all present. The McCormicks have been visiting Dr. and Mrs. Simon. Harland Lowe la visiting his par ents. Prof, and Mrs. Harry Lowe and family. He ta on a 30-day furlough from the Pendleton air base. While here be has been taking moving pic tures of various school activities, ball gamea, etc. Camp Fire Girls and their leader, Mrs. Mae Lowe, entertained with a program and tea November 10 for their mothers and invited guests at the school house. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Tresham and family have been visiting Mr. and Mrs. O. R. Tresham and Betty Lou. All are Invited to the dance at the local Orange hall, Saturday night. November 15. John Peffley left last week for Thompson Creek, Nov. 14.- (Spl.) Mrs. Aubrey Vestal and son, Jim Gassaway of MrArthur, Cal., were recent visitors at the Clarence Gassaway home. Mrs. Naomi Gassaway accompanied her father. W. D. Brown of Ashland, to Dana. Calif., October 30 to visit relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Van James and two children of Marshfleld and BUlle Beebe of Ashland visited at the Bud Turnbaugh home November 8. Mrs. Hazel Loftua of Pollock.
